About me

Everything I do is built around one thing: helping Christians be formed in Christ—not just informed about Him.

Hi, I’m Alexis Waid, M.A.—a theologian and Christian formation specialist with over 20 years in ministry.
I’ve spent my life helping people become like Jesus in a world that’s constantly pulling them away from Him.

I’m a wife, a special needs mom, and a lifelong student of how humans grow.

Why I Built Bibleberry

I didn’t create Bibleberry to make content.
I created it because something was missing in Christianity:
Real transformation. Real discipleship. Real formation that actually works.

Since I was a teenager, I’ve been asking the same question:

How do you actually become whole in Jesus?
How do you have the faith and courage the first disciples had?
Is the Bible just inspiration—or is it a map to becoming like Christ, in and through Him?

I wasn’t looking for clichés.
I wanted real answers. Real paths to change. Real connection to God.

And over time, I realized something:
You can’t grow in Christ if you don’t have certain foundations in place.

You need more than belief. You need a framework that holds.
The kind Jesus described at the end of the Sermon on the Mount—a house built on rock.

And that begins with three ongoing pursuits:

  • 🧠 You need to understand how your mind works.

  • 🔥 You need to keep growing in your knowledge of who God actually is.

  • 🌍 And you need to see the world for what it truly is—opposed to your formation at every turn.

If you ignore any of these, your foundation will crack.
And when that happens, something far more dangerous slips in:

Syncretism—the blending of God’s truth with the world’s patterns.

It doesn’t announce itself.
It just slowly convinces you that you’re following Jesus,
while quietly pulling you off course.

Most Christians are trying to grow while dragging around lies they don’t even know they believe.
That’s why their faith feels stuck.
That’s why it doesn’t transform them.

What I’m Building

This is the work I’ve committed my life to.
I’m not here to entertain Christians or offer shallow encouragement.
I’m here to help people actually become like Jesus—because that’s what discipleship is.

Bibleberry exists to teach people how to learn Scripture, live it out, and lead others—
in a way that reaches the mind, forms the soul, and holds up in the real world.

If you’ve been looking for something deeper—something that actually forms you—
you’re in the right place.

Welcome to Bibleberry. This is what we’re building.
