Visual Bible Study Program
Let me help you see how it all fits together.
Everything begins in Genesis. Everything ends with Christ.
Visual Bible Study helps you trace themes, images, and ideas through Scripture so you can see how the Bible connects as one whole story.
You may already know many of the individual stories.
You know about Noah.
You know about the Exodus.
You know Psalm 23.
You know Jesus turned water into wine.
You know He called Himself the Bread of Life.
But one of the most exciting parts of studying Scripture is discovering why these things belong together.
That is what we do inside Visual Bible Study.
We follow one biblical thread at a time and watch it develop through Scripture.
We have traced:
Psalm 23
Bread
Jeremiah 29:11
The Tabernacle
Wine
Prayer
Some threads take four weeks.
Some take eight, ten, fourteen, or more.
The subject determines the length. We keep following the thread for as long as Scripture has something to show us.
A biblical thread is a recurring idea, image, word, pattern, symbol, or concept that develops as the biblical story unfolds.
We begin where the thread first appears and then follow it.
What happens to it?
Where does it appear again?
Does its meaning deepen or change?
How do the Law and Prophets develop it?
What happens when Jesus enters the story?
How do the Epistles help us understand it?
And where does the thread finally take us as Scripture reaches Revelation?
This is Bible study that teaches you to see the whole canon, not just individual passages.
Each week, I add a new digital study packet that moves us forward in the current biblical thread.
You will read the passages for yourself, see how they connect, understand why the connection matters, and process what you have learned.
Each weekly digital packet takes you through the same basic study process:
Begin with selected passages and look closely at the words, images, patterns, and connections within Scripture.
Use the Visual Bible Study sheet to see how this week’s passages contribute to the larger biblical thread.
Read the Study Notes Explained to understand what the connections mean and why they matter.
Return to Scripture through guided questions that help you compare passages, work through the theology, and articulate what you have learned.
Each week adds another part of the thread. At the end, the complete visual map brings the entire biblical movement together on one sheet.
Weekly digital visual notes that guide you through the passage
Theological thread maps that connect the Old and New Testaments
Reflection tools that help you apply what you learn
A short teaching video each month to bring the story together
Access to your growing Visual Bible Core Library
Bonus tools like genre cards, highlighting guides, and context notes
Each resource is visually designed to make Scripture clear and memorable.
You will not only understand what the Bible says but see how every part works together.
Visual Bible Study includes a growing collection of foundational Bible-study resources designed to help you understand what you are reading and how the Bible works as a whole.
Your VBS Getting Started Materials include resources on:
Head and Heart Bible Study
Bible genres
The Bible’s Grand Narrative
The purpose of the Old and New Testaments
How to spot Christ in Scripture
How to choose a Bible translation
Hebrew basics
Additional Bible-study tools and guides
You don’t need a theology degree. I'm here to help you see the depths of the Bible in ways most Christians never get the opportunity to.
You are not signing up for a study that disappears when the week ends.
Every completed VBS thread stays in the member library.
That means when you join today, you receive the current study AND the entire existing Visual Bible Study library.
Right now that includes more than 40 weeks of previous biblical-thread study, with the library continuing to grow every week.
Psalm 23 / Shepherd & Sheep — 4 weeks
Bread — 8 weeks
Jeremiah 29:11 / Life as Exiles — 5 weeks
Tabernacle — 10 weeks
Wine — 14 weeks
Prayer in the Bible — currently being added
Start with the current thread and study along with us, or go back into the library and explore a previous thread at your own pace.
There is no need to “catch up.”

This study is built on historic Christian orthodoxy—what the Church has affirmed across centuries, denominations, and cultures.
It reflects core doctrines shared by believers around the world: the authority of Scripture, the divinity of Jesus, the resurrection, the Trinity, salvation through Christ alone, and the ongoing work of the Spirit.
We write and teach for the whole Church - not just one stream of it.
